I picked my grandson Jake up after he got home from school and we headed out to High Rock Lake to the dam spillway. In passing, I have seen lots of birds on the rocks and have been wanting to go back for a photoshoot. It was the perfect time to try out my  eyes after cataract surgery. Also, time to use my Sigma 150-500mm telephoto lens. I did get some fairly good pictures but not as sharp as I would have liked. I do intend to go back when I can.  However, I will remember to bring some insect repellant with me.
