2ladies_cameraUpdate: On June 10, 2017, my sister passed away after a brief illness. It has taken me awhile to get back to my photography. In her honor and because we so enjoyed our adventures, I am keeping the name for this photo blog. I think of her everytime I go out with my camera on a photoshoot. I imagine she is watching and smiling down at me from Heaven.

My sister and I loved to drive out on photo excursions. She looked for things to photograph and I would take the pictures. My son Jonathan took pictures of us for our Facebook page. We call ourselves, “Two Little Old Ladies and a Camera” .

With both of us being retired, we found getting out for drives in the country relaxing and a great way to record what we find through photographs. Many of the things we liked to seek out and photograph are old barns, tobacco barns, dilapidated buildings, old farm equipment, animals and any other interesting things along the way.

Being in North Carolina, we have some of the best places to photograph. Since she is no longer with me, I live in High Point which has plenty of unique buildings. High Point is situated in the Triad area giving the advantage of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains within a short drive. The coastal areas are a bit further but make for great weekend excursions.
