About the Artist
I photograph the quiet corners of North Carolina — the weathered barns, forgotten buildings, old farm equipment, and the small details that time leaves behind. Much of my early work grew out of years spent exploring the back roads with my sister, Louan, who shared my love for noticing what others pass by. Though she is no longer with me, the way we saw the world together continues to shape my work.
Over time, my photography has expanded to include still life compositions, where light, texture, and simplicity become their own kind of landscape. These pieces reflect a different rhythm — slower, more contemplative — yet still rooted in the way of seeing that those early journeys helped me develop.
I live in High Point, where the Triad, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the coastal plain offer endless places to wander with a camera in hand. These photographs, whether found on a roadside or arranged on a table, reflect the moments and quiet beauty that continue to guide my creative path.
