I took several days off to travel down east with my two grandsons, Jake and Landon. The main objective was to go on a bear hunt. No guns, just cameras. We found a cute AirBnB place on Bath Creek. It was close to Bath and a short drive to Pocosin WLF and Lake Mattamuskeet WLF. We found our base cabin and was taken on a tour of the house and the property which included a neat dock. The history of this place is unique. The tiny cabin was once where the cook lived in the 1950s. The first night, the boys and I sat on the dock and settled in to watch the sunset across the creek. Now I do have to say a few things. This was one of the widest creeks I have every seen. Also, I would highly recommend Bath Creek House as the perfect place to stay. Skip and Neal were the perfect hosts.
