After taking the side road and a turn-around, we got back to the church ruins. Originally known as Prince William’s Parish Church, it was built between 1745 and 1753. It was burned by the British in 1779 during the Revolutionary War  rebuilt in 1826, and then burned again in 1865 during the Civil War.  It was ever so quiet there. I didn’t even hear birds. I did some research to see if it is haunted. I didn’t see or even feel anything weird while there. I only felt at peace. Still some have said they have seen the ghost of Ann Bull Hayward. It has been said apparition has been seen near the grave of an infant.
