Tammy and I had been stuck inside due to her surgery and both of us under “House Arrest” better known as shelter in place due to Covid-19. We had to get out for some fresh air and sunshine and a time for me to take pictures.

She wanted to go to Low Gap, NC and a short drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway to Cumberland Gap. We had a really good time and at a distance, met other folks with the same idea and need for that clear mountain air.

Our first stop was at a small white church with lovely stained glass windows. On the other side of the cemetery, was an old abandoned house. After taking our pictures, we went back to a place with some very old building that looked to be abandoned. Part of the buildings had been converted to a recycle center. From there a quick drive to Galax, VA for a pit stop and then on to the Parkway.
